GENERAL INFORMATION

Fees for Fall 2019 are as follows:

  • Challengers, our program for boys and girls with physical and intellectual challenges, is free
  • Tee Ball $100
  • Baseball and Softball $125

  • Multiple players in a family discount: second child (and beyond) registered, receive a $15 discount.

    New for Fall 2019:

  • We had good success with Girls only Softball Tee Ball division this Spring and will continue it this Fall.  Please note: if we do not have enough registered to fill this division, we will create all girls team(s) within Baseball Tee Ball division.  Girls are welcome to register in either Tee Ball division, but we encourage you to sign up for the Softball Tee Ball division.

  • Likewise, we will continue to offer Single A Coach Pitch this Fall, after a strong Spring season.  This is our entry level program to help kids transition from Tee Ball to baseball.  It's primarily for 5 and 6 year olds (or 7 year olds who are first year players), who have played at least one season of Tee Ball and are ready to move up.  This will give us three levels of play within our Minors Division (A - Coach Pitch, AA - Coach Pitch, and AAA - Player Pitch)

If you have questions about registration, please email us at

Baseball

Baseball is available in both spring and fall seasons at NWFALL for boys and girls ages 7 to 16, and 5 and 6 year olds who have completed a spring season of tee ball. See below for a breakdown of current divisions.

Ages overlap in several divisions of play.  We ask that all players attend evaluations so coaches can assess skill level.  Players will be drafted to a division based on assessment, which may or may not be the division registered for.  For example, a 9 year old could be in divisions ranging from Minors AA, Minors AAA, or Majors.

Tee Ball

Often, a family’s first introduction to Little League® is in the Tee Ball program. Tee Ball is the entry level division for players, ages 4-7. The experience is grounded in fun, fitness, and fundamentals while also being a key to growing a child’s love for the game.

Minors
For boys and girls ages 5 to 11. 5 and 6 year old players must complete at least one spring season of tee ball and pass a skills assessment to be eligible for coach pitch. The goal of our coach pitch program is to help young players transition from tee ball into a more advanced program where they'll start to refine their hitting, fielding, throwing, and strategic skills while also learning the rules of the game of baseball.

A - Beginner Coach Pitch
Ages 5-7:  Beginner level coach pitch baseball.  5 year olds must have played one season of tee ball previously. 7 year olds would be first year players or players needing more practice before moving up.

AA - Advanced Coach Pitch
Ages 7-9: The next level up in coach pitch, players that have advanced by age and/or ability beyond A.  9 year olds would be players with no playing experience or players needing more practice before moving up.

AAA - Player Pitch Baseball
Ages 8-11:  The highest division within our Minor League program, players have advanced by age and/or ability beyond AA.  Kids pitch in this division, with a 60-foot diamond and 46 feet pitching distance.   8 year olds would need to be drafted up by a AAA coach or division director. 11 year olds would be first year players or players needing an extra year before moving to Majors.  The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet.

Major League Division Baseball
Ages 9-12:  This division is for players who have advanced by age and/or ability beyond AAA.  Kids pitch in this division, with a 60-foot diamond and 46 feet pitching distance.  9 year olds must have completed at least one Spring season in AAA to be considered for Majors draft.  It is recommended that 9 year olds register for AAA.

Intermediate (50/70) Baseball
The Intermediate (50/70) Baseball Division is for 12- and 13-year-olds and utilizes a 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot base paths.

Junior League Baseball
The Junior League Baseball Division is a program for boys and girls ages 12-14, using a conventional 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches.

Senior League Baseball

The Senior League Baseball Division is for boys and girls 13-16 years old, using a conventional 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches.

Softball

Softball is available in both spring and fall seasons at NWFALL for boys and girls ages 7 to 16, and 5 and 6 year olds who have completed a spring season of tee ball. See below for a breakdown of current divisions.

Tee Ball Softball

Tee Ball Softball is for girls 4-5 years old (with a local option for 6- and/or 7-year-olds) who want to learn the fundamentals of hitting and fielding. In Tee Ball Softball, players hit a ball off a batting tee. Rules of the game may be varied to accommodate the need for teaching and should focus on fun, fitness, and fundamentals. The primary goals of Tee Ball Softball are to instruct children in the fundamentals of softball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork. There is no minimum or maximum composition for Tee Ball rosters, but we would recommend smaller roster sizes to help keep all players engaged. No live pitching is permitted in this division. Generally, the diamond used is a 60-foot diamond, but the league has the option to use a 50-foot diamond.

Minor League Softball Division

Minor League Softball is for participants 5-11 years old and can be operated with multiple divisions that are based on age and/or ability. Divisions may include “machine pitch,” “coach pitch” and “player pitch.” By local option, a player who is league age 5 or 6 for the current season and has played a year in Tee Ball is eligible for the coach pitch or machine pitch minor divisions. A local league might organize its 7-8-year-olds in the Coach Pitch Division and its 9-10-year-olds in the Player Pitch division; however, by local option, some of the 9-year-olds could “play down” in the coach pitch division, and some of the 8-year-olds could “play up.” This is entirely the choice of the local league board of directors. (League age 12-year-olds may participate in the Minor Division under certain circumstances.) There is no minimum or maximum composition for rosters, but most leagues have rosters in the 8-12 range. Competitive divisions of Minor League Softball may only use nine players on defense. The diamond has 60-foot base paths and a 35 foot pitching distance.

Majors Division Softball

The Little League Softball® division (sometimes known as the Major Division) is for players ages 9-12. A local league may choose to limit its Major Division to 10-, 11- and 12-year-olds, or 11-12-year-olds. The field uses a 60-foot diamond and a 40 foot pitching distance. A local league may dual-roster 12-year-olds, assessed capable, to a Major and a Junior division softball teams.

Junior League Softball Division

The Junior League Softball division is a program for players ages 12-14, and uses a conventional 60-foot diamond with a 43 foot pitching distance.

Senior League Softball Division

The Senior League Softball Division is for girls 13-16 years old, using a 60-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 43 feet.

Challengers

Challengers is a unique baseball opportunity for boys and girls with mental and physical challenges ages 4-18 (or 22 if still in high school)
