We will make ever effort to play the games as scheduled because there are many pieces in place to keep things running smoothly. Not only is your child's game affected, but the umpires, concessions, and the possible task of rescheduling have their own set of unique obstacles.

The board member on duty will make the call to close or postpone opening the complex or individual fields as necessary for children's safety. This decision is made two hours before the first scheduled activity of that day.
We do live in NC, and we all know that weather can change in a blink of an eye. Sometimes this two hour window cannot be followed. For instance; if a thunderstorm pops up, we have protocol in place that requires us to clear the fields for 20 minutes after the last clap of thunder or sight of lightning. All players, parents, coaches, and umpires are required to clear the fields and dugouts and it is recommended to seek shelter in your vehicle.
