2018 Manager Application and Selection Process

Overview: The Board of Directors at Northwest Forsyth American Little League appreciates your interest in Managing a team this season.  We know this is not only a commitment of time, but a commitment of yourself to one of the most important positions in this League.  The Manager is the main point of contact for all players and parents during the season, and we value your desire to help us make this a great season for the players, parents, and NWFALL.

The Board of Directors has always approved the Managers for each division, and we’ll continue that process going forward.  With the Board of Directors commitment to providing the best experience possible for the children of our community, and the desire for the Board of Directors to get to know our Managers better over time, we have a couple of required steps in the process starting this season.

Once you’ve indicated a desire to Manage you will be required to introduce yourself to the Board of Directors at one of our meetings before final Manager selections are made, and we look forward to meeting you in the coming weeks.  Please read the information below, follow the steps, and mark your calendars appropriately.

MANAGER APPLICATION AND SELECTION PROCESS:

Step 1: Please indicate your desire to be a Manager for the 2018 Season through the online application process on nwfall.org (once registration is open) AND by e-mailing the appropriate League Director.  If you register in person please tell the League Representative that you would like to Manage.

** You will receive a note from the Coaching Coordinator to schedule your meeting with the Board of Directors within a week of completing Step 1.

Step 2: Meet briefly with the NWFALL Board of Directors
This should be no more than 10-15 minutes.  The goal is to get to know our Managers better before we vote on selection, and give you an opportunity to meet the people that support your endeavor, and talk about why you want to Manage this season.

**Coaching Coordinator will reach out to you with Board Meeting dates and times.

The Board might know some of you very well, and some of you we are meeting for the first time.  Just be prepared to give us a summary of why you want to Manage this season, your coaching philosophy, your coaching experience, and anything else you think is relevant to our selection process.

Step 3:  Manager Selections will be announced around the third week of August.

** For those of you selected to Manage this season, you will receive a full information packet for the 2018 season.  Included in that packet will be a Manager and Coach Code of Conduct Commitment sheet that will need to be signed and returned to the Board.  But here are some key dates that you need to be aware of so we don’t have any concerns with short notice or lack of communication from NWFALL.
